Absolutely worked perfectly to jack up and straighten a badly warped pressure treated wood deck rail. Once the runner is straightened we can then block it permanently with a wooden block to prevent this from occurring again.

The stand works great to hold a bowl/plate at the correct height for my laser engraver. The knob is a little close to the bottom and tough to adjust for lower settings. It works well at anything above 1/2 inch of extension.
