This is definitely a nice budget watch from Seiko. Although it kind of replaces the SKX, there are some changes that will make the purists mad but will probably appeal to mass users. So, the screw down crown is gone and the the WR has gone from 200m to 100m, so this is not a Diver watch…

For starters, this is a “desk diver” for me. I don’t even swim. I got this style watch for the rotating bezel, it helps track my break time at work. I’ve had manual wind watches (cheap watches way back in the 70’s/80’s), plenty of digitals, a dozen quartz watches, even a couple of “smart”…
