Smart Washer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Samsung washer came ready to be used! The delivery crew was courteous and careful of the property. The washer was delivered and installed without any issues. I got acquainted with the washer first, I registered it with the brand, installed the SmartThings phone app, and checked the user manual before the first use. There are a lot of different features that help me understand how to get the best of the washer. There is a multi-control panel with a power button, a navigation dial to choose the cycle, and a start/pause button in the front of the washer. It has Wi-Fi capabilities. I connected the washer to the SmartThings phone app and it alerts me when the cycle is done. The liquid/powder drawer is on the outside of the machine. There is a lot of room inside and the door opens to the left. It comes with a child lock. It has a SuperSpeed cycle that washes in about 30 minutes. Hot water is needed for this cycle. The water temperature, spin, soil level, functions, and options can be adjusted before each load of laundry. With the AI Pattern, I have been able to save my frequently used settings. There are some factory settings that can’t be changed. I have been using this machine for over a month now and I find it to be very efficient. This washer is pretty quiet when washing. I like that it alerts me when the load is done. The clothes come out of the washer smelling really clean. I haven’t been able to control the washer through the app yet. I’m very happy with this washer.

Fantastic washer. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing washes like a dream. It’s done in like 30 minutes and everything is perfectly clean and fresh. It has smart features that are super easy to learn with the app. It tells me when my laundry is done! I used to be able to hear my old washer through the wall with this I hear nothing. The large capacity is amazing previously large loads and my other washer are now small loads in this washer. This saves me time and water. The digital display is really cool so easy to use no more pushing a ton of buttons. Don’t even have to use stands they are the perfect size. I love how cool they look. Can’t get over how much better my clothes and other laundry are cleaned now. There are so many options for different cycles for different things you can be sure that your clothes will come out perfectly washed sanitized and undamaged.

If it didn’t “Sing”, I would forget about it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was blessed to test out this set and provide a review. I can officially say that the Samsung Laundry Set (WF45A6400AW/US & DVE45A6400W/A3) is AMAZING! Here is what I think…

THE PROS-

– I was able to save space by stacking the washer and dryer (Stacking kit sold separately. ). I recommend purchasing using the DV-MCK accessory (part of the stacking kit) that allows control of dryer using the washer and vice versa. This especially useful for those of us who are vertically challenged.
– The AI technology and Smart Control feature allows me to monitor loads and operate the set using the SmartThings app. I am able to create washing recipes and upload it to the washer before I start.
– The washer is whisper quiet, so the fact that it “sings” when done is the perfect reminder. I would forget I had a load in.
– The various cycles that come preloaded make it convenient to wash and specific items (i.e. bedding, denim, delicates, etc…).
– The washer’s various steam cycles are a God send. With multiple allergy sufferers in my household, I’m able to sanitize (Steam Sanitize), remove allergens (Steam Allergen) from clothing to bedding and rugs (Steam Bulky and Power Steam).

THE CON-

Laundry finally meets Technology. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Samsung Laundry Set (WF45A6400AW/US & DVE45A6400W/A3) is awesome.
I stacked the washer and dryer (Stacking kit sold separately. ). Using the DV-MCK accessory (part of the stacking kit) allows control of dryer using the washer and vice versa.
The washer is whisper quiet. It chimes when done (see video), the perfect reminder to change the clothes over to the dryer.
The washer comes preloaded to make it convenient to wash specific items (i.e. bedding, denim, delicates, etc…). The Smart Control feature makes monitoring loads and operating the washer easy. The SmartThings app helps create different washing cycles and upload them to the washer and dryer.
The washer’s different steam modes help my wife and kids, allergy sufferers, to sanitize (Steam Sanitize), remove allergens (Steam Allergen) from clothing to bedding and rugs (Steam Bulky and Power Steam).
I haven’t found a downside.

Expensive Lesson. 0 Stars, washer destroyed itself. Many similar reviews on Home Depot (and here), “Just a few months out of warranty, counterbalance weights break apart.” In my case when I tried to find out what was causing the awful racket and I took the front door assembly off, 4 of the counter balance bolts (along with 1 counter balance) just fell to the floor, like they were never even tightened.

not reliable. Counter weight balancer broke in about 15 months of normal usage. Was fine while it lasted . Replacement not available . Seems it was foolish to invested too much into a matching pair of washer and dryer with pedestals. Now I have to look for a new washer which won’t match .

Samsung doesn’t stand behind their product! Don’t buy this machine!
I have only had my Samsung front load washing machine for two years and it certainly has not stood the test of time! Recently the machine started making a very loud banging noise during the rinse cycle, it was so loud I was forced to immediately stop using it. I called Samsung for help and was told, although they could tell by the video test they saw, that something was definitely wrong, there was nothing they could do to help me since my warranty had expired. I then called my home warranty company for help and after having a technician come out discovered that the issue was due to a manufacturing defect, so Samsung would have to be held responsible. When I got back in touch with a Samsung representative with evidence of what the issue was, they agreed that it was a manufacturing error and agreed to pay for the parts necessary to fix it (only), but not the labor, by far the most expensive part of the repair. They offered ONE option for a service provider who wanted to charge an astronomical amount just to come out to my house not to mention a large hourly fee for labor. Samsung was not willing to budge on any other options to help me get this machine fixed. Over two weeks later I am still without a washing machine, and when you’re a mother of a 3 year old boy there is almost nothing more frustrating!

After doing a little research I have discovered that there are many other Samsung customers out there having the very same (weight balancer) issue with the very same machine. Now that I know Samsung does not stand behind their product or care for their customers I will no longer be supporting the brand in any way. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand!
