From wary to delighted! I’m new to the LG family, I purchased my very first LG product less than 2 years ago, my second product 1 year ago and this is my third. This purchase was based on my complete satisfaction with the design, price, and functionality of the previous 2 appliance purchases.

I am the kind of person that knows exactly what I want and nothing about this washing machine was what I wanted! I come from the more water, soap and aggressive agitation the better camp, but I just couldn’t justify my position of protecting the planet and then go out and purchase another water guzzler.

The first day I was horrified to watch my new washing machine in action. I couldn’t believe how little water there was, but yet, it seemed like my laundry had enough water to move freely. I was worried about the lack of soap suds, but yet, it seemed like there was enough. I even said to my husband “I’m worried we’ve made a mistake”. After the first load was finished I immediately sniffed the laundry because I was convinced it couldn’t be clean, but it smelled clean. I somewhat reluctantly continued on, experimenting with different cycles, temps, and load sizes, with no complaints. And after 2 weeks of doing laundry I am unequivocally convinced that I LOVE my washing machine. I love that it’s quiet, that it plays a happy song to tell me it’s done, that it saves water, that I can wash fewer loads because the agitator isn’t hogging up the drum, that I’ll save on electricity by doing fewer loads, that it self balances, that the drum won’t rust, that the drum won’t snag delicates and that it really does a good job of cleaning my clothes! Outstanding Washing Machine. I purchased this machine almost a month ago. We have found it to be perfect for us. Not only does it save water and the clothes are almost dry at the end of a cycle, but clothes are clean and fresh smelling. It also automatically locks while clothes are washing.
    We love this machine!

Shred cycle. My disabled husband asked if I was using the shred cycle because some of his t-shirts and undershirts were getting holes in them. Clothes are pilling that are 20+ years old. The color in jeans is wearing off where they have rubbed against the tub. Fuzz on both sides of clothing coming out of the washer and then needing to be partially dried to get the remainder off. I usually air dry 90% of all wash. Clothes are twisted and come out wrinkled.

Scrud and doesn’t clean cloths. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this machine in July 2020, family of 4. I CONSTANTLY have to wash clothes multiple times in this machine to get a basic food spill from a toddler out, even when throwing in immediately and pre-treating. I have tried multiple detergents with no change. The worst part is Scrud (brown muddy stuff from washer) I routinely run a tub clean and even use a tide tub cleaning packet to clean the washer monthly but I still end up with nasty scrud on my clothes. Also you have to always use “water plus” function to get enough water in the tub to ensure all the clothes in your load actually get wet.

Does not drain well. I’ve had this for a year now and from the first wash it has left lint all over my clothes. The matching dryer catches drawstrings and twists up my clothes. I can’t avoid drying because the washer leaves lint all over everything so I have to dry. This is also not good for clothes that need to be like dried. I’ve never had issues like this of 25 years of doing laundry until buying this LG set.

Everything on/in washer you could ever want. I am so happy with this washing machine. I love all the cycles with the times which is really helpful. It’s quiet, it has a dispenser for both fabric softener and liquid detergent. Also, it does not bounce across the room while in the spin cycle especially with bulky items. There are numerous options so you can wash items the way you like to and not the way the manufacturer wants you to! When my dryer finally gives out, I plan on buying an LG dryer! Thanks for a great product!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit was good to me.
It rusted on the front ,where you pour bleach in. All around in front.
The board lasted only 2yrs. I will NEVER purchase any LG appliances again
I not happy at all. I purchased May 2021. Washer quit.

UNHAPPY CONSUMER. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve owned this machine for a couple of years. Half the time it doesn’t seem to use enough water since clothes don’t get fully submerged. I recently installed Flume on my water meter and much to my horror the amount of water being used for one load of laundry is ridiculous. I just did a large load set on bedding using cold water and my meter indicates I used 98.7 gallons. This is for one load of laundry. Not only that but the frame around the glass on the top closing lid cracked in 3 places with a 4th hairline break.

The people that write bad reviews about this machine clearly do not read the directions. The people that write that the water does not completely cover the load, do not read the directions. The directions clearly state that the water may not completely submerge the linen. But that does not…

Had to replace my basic Whirlpool HE washing machine. Went with the LG machine and so far I’m very satisfied with the product. Pros: Load balancing feature uses centrifugal force to balance load. Once filled machine will spin in both directions until load balances itself it does this after…

Eats my clothing. For the most part, this machine does an OK job. Every time I take clothing out it is completely twisted around all the other items and I have to untangle and shake out everything. Periodically it eats clothing. I am very careful to not overload the machine and it still shred things.

So far I’m in love with my new LG washer. Keep in mind I was using a 14 year old whirlpool cabrio that basically stopped going through the proper cycles and took forever to wash one load. This LG is so fast and really gets my clothes clean. I still have some issues with stuck on stains on my…
